THE INTENSIVE PRESEASON PROGRAM – GIRLS
Build your confidence. Improve your skills. Get ready for tryouts.
The ICBA’s intensive preseason program is designed for girls who want to improve their basketball fundamentals and feel fully prepared for upcoming tryouts. This camp emphasizes skill development, repetition, and self-confidence in a positive, structured, and well-supervised environment.
Led by experienced coaches, each session is designed to meet the individual needs of every player and support her development.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
This camp is designed for beginner, intermediate, and competitive players who want to improve their basketball fundamentals and be better prepared for upcoming tryouts.
THE CAMP INCLUDES
- 5 workouts
- ICBA competitive team tryouts included
- Sessions lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes each
- 1 session per week, except during the first and last weeks.
- 2 ICBA coaches to lead the camp
WHAT THE PLAYERS WILL BE WORKING ON
- Getting the players back in shape before the season
- Developing Technical Fundamentals
- Ball Handling and Control
- Shooting Technique and Consistency
- Defensive Fundamentals
- Exercises and scenarios specific to the selection process
- Evaluate players for the season (skill level, role)
CAMP CATEGORIES BY AGE
Players are grouped according to Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) age categories, which are determined by the athlete's year of birth.
AGE GROUPS — GIRLS
- U10 — Under 10 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2017 or later)
- U11 — Under 11 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2016 or later)
- U12 — Under 12 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2015 or later)
- U13 — Under 13 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2014 or later)**New**
DATE AND TIME OF PRACTICES
***All the girls together. If more than 20 girls sign up, the group will be split into two
- Wednesday, August 5 — 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, August 8 — 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 15 — 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 22 — 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 29 — 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
