The ICBA welcomes you to the 2026–2027 competitive team tryouts!
This page contains all the information regarding tryouts for the boys’ teams (U10 through U14) and girls’ teams (U10 through U13). Tryouts give athletes the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, basketball knowledge, work ethic, and team spirit in order to earn a spot on a competitive ICBA team.
- The ICBA's competitive basketball season runs from September 2026 to April 2027
- 2 practices per week (1 hour and 30 minutes each) and games on the weekends
- Participation in the EOBA league in Ottawa
- Participation in approximately 4 to 5 tournaments during the season in the Ottawa, Belleville, Cornwall, and Montreal areas
- 2 coaches on the bench to provide high-quality coaching and support the athletes' development
U10: Tryout dates: Friday, August 28, and Tuesday, September 1, 2026
U11: Tryout dates: Monday, August 31, and Wednesday, September 2, 2026
U12: Tryout dates: Tuesday, August 25, and Thursday, August 27, 2026
U13: Tryout dates: Saturday, August 29, and Tuesday, September 1, 2026
U14: Tryout dates: Wednesday, August 26, and Friday, August 28, 2026

U10 — Under 10 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2017 or later)
U11 — Under 11 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2016 or later)
U12 — Under 12 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2015 or later)
U13 — Under 13 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2014 or later)
U14 — Under 14 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2013 or later)
U10 — Under 10 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2017 or later)
U11 — Under 11 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2016 or later)
U12 — Under 12 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born in 2015 or later)
